I believe one of the most powerful ways to transform lives and communities is by strengthening economic agency - the ability to create opportunities, generate income, and shape economic futures. 

Investment, trade and business growth are not ends in themselves. They are means through which people can access better livelihoods, excercise greater choice, provide for their families, and participate in shaping the future of their communities.

Whether I am working on a large investment initiative, thinking about trade and entreprise development, advising an entrepreneur, or sharing what I have learnt through my own experience in business and career, the underlying question remains:

How do we create more possibilities for people to build better and more meaningful lives?

That pursuit - expanding people's ability to shape their livelihoods - is at the heart of the work I choose to do.
